Brief: Design a small retail store, which will be a part of the Summit @Peak adventure park in Chesterfield. Consider connection to the park itself, as well as its surroundings.
Site: Summit @Peak is a new adventure park and a part of the Peak project, which is being developed in Chesterfield. The indoor activity centre will include trampolining, zip lines, climbing walls etc.
Design Statement: Prana is a small yoga equipment store, that offers its customers a multisensory experience. There are able to connect with the nature surrounding the site through auditory, olfactory and tactile clues. The store plays sounds of nature that can be heard in the Peak District, as well as diffuses a scent of lavender, which can be found in the Peak District, using a custom lava rock diffuser. Further, customers are able to try out and compare yoga mats before purchase in a designated area.
